This initiative aims to address instances where potential guests receive lower rates from comparable accommodations while ensuring that our pricing remains competitive without compromising profitability.

The Price Match Offer is designed to support our sales and reservations efforts by providing clear guidelines on when and how rate matching may be offered to prospective guests. This memo outlines the program’s objectives, eligibility requirements, approval process, and the corresponding mechanics to ensure consistent implementation across all concerned departments.

If you find a lower publicly available rate for the same room type, stay dates, number of guests, and booking conditions on another eligible online booking platform, simply contact our Reservations Team before completing your direct reservation. Once the lower rate has been verified and all eligibility requirements have been met, we will match the qualifying rate.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Guests are not required to have an existing reservation to qualify for the Best Rate Guarantee. Before confirming a reservation, guests who find a lower publicly available rate on another eligible online travel agency (OTA) or third-party booking platform, such as Agoda, Expedia, Booking.com, or similar websites, may submit a claim directly to Alta Vista de Boracay through our official Facebook page or by emailing reservations@avboracay.com.

The lower rate must be for the same room type, stay dates, number of guests, and booking conditions. Once verified and approved, Alta Vista de Boracay will match the qualifying rate, subject to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Claims must be submitted at least forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled check-in date. Claims received beyond this deadline will not be eligible for consideration.

3. The competing rate must be publicly available, immediately bookable, and verifiable at the time the claim is reviewed. Rates requiring promotional codes, membership, login credentials, coupons, registration, or other special qualifications are not eligible.

The competing rate must be verifiable on the final booking page of the competing platform immediately before payment, with all mandatory taxes, service charges, fees, and other applicable charges displayed. Rate comparisons will be based on the final total accommodation cost for the same stay, subject to the applicable eligibility requirements.

4. The competing rate must match the requested or proposed direct reservation in all material aspects, including:
  • The same property: Alta Vista de Boracay
  • The same room category
  • The same check-in and check-out dates
  • The same number of guests, including adults and children and the children’s ages where applicable
  • The same rate inclusions, such as breakfast, transfers, or other package benefits
  • The same booking conditions, cancellation policy, and payment terms
Any difference in these conditions may render the competing rate ineligible.
5. If the competing rate is displayed in a different currency, Alta Vista de Boracay will convert the rate using a commercially accepted exchange rate at the time the claim is reviewed. Claims may be declined when the apparent price difference is attributable solely to currency exchange fluctuations.
6. To qualify, the competing rate must be lower than the applicable direct booking rate by at least PHP 100 or one percent (1%) of the total eligible room rate, whichever is greater.

Price differences below this threshold will not qualify for the Best Rate Guarantee.

7. The Best Rate Guarantee does not apply to the following:
  • Opaque or auction websites where the property’s name is not disclosed until after booking.
  • Package rates combining accommodation with airfare, transportation, tours, meals, or other travel components.
  • Corporate, government, airline crew, travel industry, employee, wholesale, group, or negotiated contract rates.
  • Member-only, loyalty, subscription, or closed-user group rates unavailable to the general public.
  • Flash sales, private sales, mobile app-exclusive rates, coupon-based discounts, cashback offers, promotional credits, or rates requiring registration or membership.
  • Rates resulting from pricing errors, technical issues, or obvious typographical mistakes.
  • Reservations made through vacation ownership, barter, complimentary, or employee benefit programs.
  • Independent Owner booking platforms.
  • Rates that cannot be independently verified or do not meet the requirements of this offer.
8. The Best Rate Guarantee applies only to the eligible room rate and does not cover taxes, government-imposed charges, service charges, incidental expenses, food and beverage purchases, transportation, resort services, or other fees incurred during the stay, unless specifically included in the eligible room package.
9. For reservations covering multiple nights, the competing lower rate must be available for the same complete stay itinerary and under identical booking conditions.
A lower rate available for only one or some nights of the requested stay will not qualify unless expressly approved by Alta Vista de Boracay.
10. If the claim is approved, Alta Vista de Boracay will match the verified eligible lower room rate, subject to the terms of this offer and the availability of the requested accommodation.
No additional discounts, credits, or other benefits will be provided under the Best Rate Guarantee.
11. The Best Rate Guarantee cannot be combined with other promotions, promotional codes, discounts, vouchers, or special offers provided by Alta Vista de Boracay, unless expressly authorized by the Resort.
12. Alta Vista de Boracay reserves the right to independently verify all submitted claims. Claims may be denied if the competing rate is no longer available, cannot be verified, or fail to meet any eligibility requirement.
The Resort’s decision regarding the validity of a claim shall be final, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
13. Any modification to an approved reservation, including changes to stay dates, room category, occupancy, number or ages of children, rate inclusions, meal plan, or booking conditions, will void the previously approved matched rate.

The modified reservation will be repriced based on the applicable rate and availability at the time the modification is requested.

  1. Alta Vista de Boracay reserves the right to reject any claim that appears fraudulent, manipulated, abusive, submitted in bad faith, or intended to circumvent these Terms and Conditions.

This includes claims involving altered screenshots, fabricated rates, unauthorized rate distribution, deliberate duplicate bookings, or any other attempt to misuse the Best Rate Guarantee.

15. Alta Vista de Boracay reserves the right to amend, suspend, or discontinue the Best Rate Guarantee at any time, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
