Implementation of the Best Rate Guarantee Program
To strengthen our competitive position in the market and provide greater flexibility in securing bookings, we are introducing the Price Match Offer Program. This initiative aims to address instances where potential guests receive lower rates from comparable accommodations while ensuring that our pricing remains competitive without compromising profitability.
How does it look on our website:
1. The guests are not required to have an existing reservation to qualify. If, before booking, you find a lower publicly available rate for the same room type, stay dates, number of guests, and booking conditions on another online travel agency or third-party booking platform (such as Agoda, Expedia, Booking.com, or similar websites), simply contact Alta Vista de Boracay before completing your reservation.
Once the lower rate is verified, we will gladly match the price, allowing you to enjoy the best available rate when you book directly with us.
2. Claims must be submitted at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled check-in date. Claims received outside these prescribed periods will not be eligible for consideration.
3. The lower rate must be publicly available and immediately bookable at the time the claim is reviewed. The competing rate must not require a promotional code, membership, log in, coupon, or any special qualification to access.
The lower rate must also be verifiable on the final booking page of the competing website or OTA, immediately before payment, where all mandatory taxes, service charges, fees, and other applicable charges are displayed. The Best Rate Guarantee comparison will be based on the final total room rate, inclusive of all mandatory charges, for the same stay.
4. The competing rate must match the original reservation in all material aspects, including:
• Same hotel (Alta Vista de Boracay)
• Same room category
• Same stay dates
• Same number of guests (adults and kids, including kid’s ages where applicable)
• Same rate inclusions (e.g., breakfast, transfers, or other benefits)
Same booking conditions, cancellation policy, and payment terms
5. If the competing rate is displayed in a different currency, Alta Vista de Boracay will convert the rate using a commercially accepted exchange rate at the time the claim is reviewed. Claims may be declined if the price difference is solely due to currency exchange fluctuations.
6. To qualify for the Best Rate Guarantee, the competing rate must be lower than the confirmed direct booking rate by at least PHP 100 or one percent (1%) of the total eligible room rate, whichever is greater.
Minor differences below this threshold will not qualify.
7. The Best Rate Guarantee does not apply to:
• Rates offered through opaque or auction websites where the hotel name is not disclosed until after booking.
• Package rates that combine accommodation with airfare, transportation, tours, meals, or other travel components.
• Corporate, government, airline crew, travel industry, employee, wholesale, group, or negotiated contract rates.
• Member-only, loyalty, subscription, or closed-user group rates that are not available to the general public.
• Flash sales, private sales, mobile app-exclusive rates, coupon-based discounts, cashback offers, promotional credits, or rates requiring registration or membership.
• Rates resulting from pricing errors, technical issues, or obvious typographical mistakes.
O Reservations booked through vacation ownership, barter, complimentary, or employee benefit programs.
• Independent Owner booking platforms.
8. The Best Rate Guarantee applies only to the room rate and does not include taxes, government-imposed charges, service charges, incidental expenses, food and beverage purchases, transportation, resort services, or any other fees incurred during the stay unless specifically included in the room package.
9. For reservations covering multiple nights, the competing lower rate must be available for the same complete stay itinerary and under identical booking conditions.
A lower rate available for only one or some nights of the reservation will not qualify unless otherwise expressly approved by Alta Vista de Boracay.
10. If the claim is approved, Alta Vista de Boracay will adjust the room rate to match the verified lower rate. No additional discounts, credits, or other benefits will be provided.
11. The Best Rate Guarantee cannot be combined with any other promotions, promotional codes, discounts, vouchers, or special offers available through Alta Vista de Boracay.
12. Alta Vista de Boracay reserves the right to verify all claims independently. Claims may be denied if the competing rate is no longer available, cannot be verified, or does not satisfy all eligibility requirements. The Resort’s decision regarding the validity of any claim shall be final.
13. Any modification to an approved reservation-including changes to stay dates, room category, occupancy, number or ages of children, rate inclusions, meal plan, or booking conditions-will void the previously approved matched rate.
The modified reservation will be repriced based on the applicable rate and availability at the time the modification is requested.
14. Alta Vista de Boracay reserves the right to reject any claim that appears fraudulent, manipulated, abusive, submitted in bad faith, or intended to circumvent these Terms and Conditions.
The Resort may also reject claims involving altered screenshots, fabricated rates, unauthorized rate distribution, deliberate duplicate bookings, or any other attempt to misuse the Best Rate Guarantee.
15. Alta Vista de Boracay reserves the right to amend, suspend, or discontinue the Best Rate Guarantee at any time without prior notice.
