Powdery, white sand between your toes, sun kissing your shoulders while you float n turquoise waters staring longingly at the world’s most gorgeous sunset. Oh, Boracay. Never gets old.

You find yourself staring at your most recent Boracay vacation pictures, most recent being two years or more. And you ask yourself, what’s taking you so long to fly off to paradise again? And you think and you think until there’s not much besides a beach vacation on your mind.

On a random day, you look back at your old beach photos and post them on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtags #TakeMeBack #DreamingOfTheBeach #LatePost. And as you post them, you die a little inside. You are sitting in your office, staring at your desktop for hours, and on your third cup of coffee. Anytime is the best time to go to Boracay, especially when you have run out of throwback beach photos to remind yourself of the good times.

And while on social media, you come across the travel adventures of your friends. And there you are reacting and commenting on every photo while your swimsuits gather dust in the dresser and your luggage is now reduced to just another storage. When everyone you know is on vacation and all you ever do is dream of your happy place, you ought to do something about it.

Everyone tells you to go on vacation

“You know what, you need to go on vacation.” Is everyone in the office telling you the same exact thing every single day? And when you see your family on a weekend, do they suggest you get some time off, too? Well, maybe you need to heed their advice. Wonder no more when to go on vacation because when everyone is telling you to do so, they are likely to have a very good reason. You are probably looking and feeling tired all the time, uninspired, grumpy, and looks as if you’ll fall off the edge anytime.

It’s been ages since you did something exciting with your friends

Do you and your friends always plan a vacation or even just a quick getaway but never gone past the planning stage? That could be truly frustrating. But when was the last time you saw your high school or college friends? And more importantly, when was the last time you did something exciting with them?

Boracay offers a lot of adventures for friends and groups. Start off by getting a group accommodation at Alta Vista de Boracay where a room for four is only Php3,000 during off-peak seasons. Rent a boat and go island hopping, eat fresh seafood, dance the night away, and get a massage by the beach.

When was the last time you watched the sun set? If your answer is Star Wars: A New Hope (since you have been binge-watching Star Wars movies) or any other movie for that matter, you are desperate for a beach vacation. Boracay is known to have one of the most photographed sunsets. It is calming and reassuring. It is so breathtaking, especially with sailboats on the foreground, that you can’t think of anything else.

Whether you are traveling solo or with a group, Boracay is the perfect place to relax and be alone with yourself. If everything in your life has been nothing but a routine, if everyone you ever cared about seem to be drifting away, and if everything that ever seemed familiar seemed so strange all of sudden, you might need to step back a little. Of course, you don’t have to be this dramatic to deserve a vacation. If you feel like you just need to get away from the noise, spend a weekend in Boracay and find your happiness, your peace.

Alta Vista de Boracay has a view deck from where you can see the entire island. It also has exclusive access to Puka Beach, where the water is clearer and the beach is less crowded.

You are not feeling inspired

How many times did you press snooze this morning? How many cups of coffee have you had today just to stay awake? How many revisions did a simple project take the last time? Now is the best time for a vacation. You need to feel inspired and motivated again. You need to see a different scenery, and not just your office walls. You need to be in a different environment and you need to feel alive again.

You are stressed and unhappy

Have you been feeling really stressed lately? A study by the University of Exeter found that simply living near the beach can help you de-stress and improve your well-being. A short walk on the beach was found to significantly reduce stress and help you reset.

In Boracay, you can sleep, eat, and breathe by the beach. You can spend your mornings walking along the coast, feeling the sand between your toes and inhaling fresh air. A related study also found that increased sunlight exposure lead to better moods.

An email just popped telling you about cheap fares and accommodation. During the off-peak season, expect to get quite a number of these. And this is why lean months could be the best time to go to Boracay. You can get everything on a discount including activities and food or booze. In short, the world is telling you to get on a plane to Boracay and have the time of your life.

You look pale and sick all the time

You need to get out in the sun and breathe some fresh air. If you are looking unnecessarily pale all the time even if you are not sick, you need to get close to nature. Get some vitamin D from the sun, swim against the waves and walk and get your body moving. The beach can make you feel better in more ways than you can imagine.

You have not taken a vacation in years

When was the last time you ever went on vacation? A year, two years or more? Have you been that busy? You have obviously been working really hard and you deserve to take some time off. There will always be more work to do, it is an unending process, and going for a vacation will not disrupt your career. If at all, it will help you be more motivated, productive, and inspired.

Because you deserve it
