1. Bungee Jumping

Bungee jumping is an activity where a person jumps from a high place –usually a tall building or mountain cliff – while connected to a long elastic cord. The thrill of it usually comes from free-falling and rebound.

When a person jumps, the cord stretches and the cord recoils resulting in the jumper shooting back upwards. Since this is an extreme and dangerous sport, there are physical requirements you need to ensure before doing the sport. There are also safety rules and guidelines that will be discussed before doing the jump.

2. Scuba Diving

If you’re more of a water lover, scuba diving is surely a must-try extreme activity for you. Be amazed by the life underwater as you dive deep and witness several kinds of fishes and colorful coral reefs. Boracay beaches are one of the most popular choices when you want to try scuba diving.

To be able to scuba dive, you will need gears as you basked in the beauty of marine life. These gears include the diving mask, wetsuit, fins, scuba gloves, scuba tanks, and regulators. 3. Hiking

Hiking can be an adventurous sport as many mountains require you to go through rocky and dense trails, or even pass through caves. If you’re feeling more daring, you can try twin hiking wherein you’ll climb two mountains in a day! This will surely be a good sport to try for people who want to lose weight.

4. Parasailing

Another water activity that is meant for the brave-hearted is Parasailing. It is a recreational activity wherein a person attached to a canopy wing that resembles a parachute while being towed by a boat. This can also be a group activity of a maximum of three people.

As the boat drives off, enjoy the view of the beach as you soar high in the sky. Boracay Island is one of the most popular parasailing locations in the Philippines. Plan ahead and gather your friends and make sure to add this extreme sports activity on your bucket list.

5. Freediving

 If you want to see the beauty of the underwater without spending too much, you can try freediving. It differs from scuba diving as this extreme water sport relies on breath-holding rather than the use of a scuba tank. The idea of it is to hold your breath as long as you can until you return to the surface. Most divers also try this to do underwater photography.

This extreme sports activity should be taken with great caution so make sure that you have a freediving trainer to guide you. There are safety protocols to observe to have a fun and enjoyable freediving experience.

6. Rock Climbing

Want to take your mountain adventure to a new height? Put your muscles to test by braving the extreme sport of rock climbing. It is a kind of sport wherein a person climbs up a rock formation in a mountain with only a rappel cord as support.

Initial training and preparation are needed as this requires certain skills to be done properly. You will need knowledge of proper climbing techniques which you will use as you perform this extreme activity. You will also need a trainer to guide you and ensure safety protocols to be followed.

Skydiving is definitely one of the most extreme sports you can try in your life. It’s not every day you can find yourself falling to the ground from 13,000 feet in the air. Many are considering this their ultimate goal in their bucket list because of its one-of-a-kind experience as well as the cost of money it would take to try this extreme activity.

This sport is not for the faint-hearted. You need tremendous courage to trust your life in a parachute and to the instructor guiding you during the whole process. If you think you can make the jump, there are various skydiving spots in the Philippines like Cebu and Pampanga.
